About

Built inside a working repair shop.

VehicleDesk is the operating platform for independent auto repair shops. It turns the shop's Shopmonkey records into today's jobs, prepared conversations, and recovered revenue. It was built and is run every day inside an independent shop.

The problem

Independent shops run on Shopmonkey. Nobody works the customer side.

Shopmonkey holds the repair orders, the invoices, and the payments. It does not run the day. The declined brake job from March sits in a closed invoice. The customer who stopped coming is not on anyone's list. The advisor picks up the phone without the vehicle history in front of them. The weekly close is a spreadsheet. We ran a shop this way and watched the revenue walk out the door.

So we built the layer that runs the day. VehicleDesk sits on top of Shopmonkey, keeps it as the system of record, and turns its records into the board, the follow-ups, the messages, the parts costs, and the weekly close. Owners see what needs attention. Advisors act with the full story.

What we built

The operating platform for the shop day.

One platform runs the shop day on the shop's own records: the board, the customer, the recovery, the message, and the numbers.

01

Run the day

The Today queue lines up follow-ups hour by hour. The repair-order board shows every job and its next step. Appointments land with capacity in view.

02

Know the customer

Customer and vehicle profiles hold visit history, mileage, service context, consent, and notes in one place. Every conversation starts prepared.

03

Recover the work

Deferred services, due maintenance, and quiet customers come back into view with the reason attached. Each one ends in a scheduled visit or a new task.

04

Message with consent

Every SMS and email is consent-checked before it sends. Staff approve what reaches a customer.

05

Know the numbers

Parts costs, vendor invoices, and the weekly close reconcile against Shopmonkey. Owner reports cover workload, revenue, visits, and repair-order activity.

06

Trust the data

Data-quality checks catch stale, incomplete, and duplicate records before staff rely on them. Sync health and audit history stay visible.

Principles

How we decide what to build.

Four statements shape the product, the copy, and every implementation.

01

The shop's day comes first.

Every workflow starts with what an owner or advisor does before lunch: plan the hours, prepare the conversation, recover the work, record the outcome.

02

Context before contact.

Every message carries the relationship, the vehicle history, and the customer's consent behind it. VehicleDesk prepares. Staff approve.

03

Shopmonkey stays the system of record.

VehicleDesk runs the day on top of the shop's Shopmonkey records. Nothing gets double-tracked.

04

Your shop's data stays yours.

Tenant isolation, MFA, role-based access, and audit history come standard. Your data exports with you.
